Our Work Project for November consisted of three shifts of serving meals at The Rock at NoonDay on Second St.  We had at least seven people working each shift, and we all felt our time was exceedingly well spent.  Some worked more than one shift, and plan to return to help whenever they have free time.

K Kids from Dennis Chavez Elementary School, and Builders Club members from Desert Ridge Middle School, under the guidance of Debbie Edmondson, Luke and Sarah from UNM-CKI,

Susan Jennings and Susan Baker  (the Desert Ridge Faculty Advisor),

packed up 200 Halloween Candy bags and delivered them to kids at Joy Junction !

A Memorable Fiesta for Many Reasons, but the main reason is that we expect our best overall Fiesta results in many, many years.  And these results may well be announced much sooner than usual.  Many thanks to MARK HALEY and JEFF ROWE and everyone they recruited for

The Installation and Anniversary Party held Sept. 16 was a wonderful celebration with perfect weather and excellent presentations. Above, Michael Crews is shown with his award for exemplary service.

You will soon find many more photos of the festivities in the Photo Album tab on the left side of this Home Page. And a complete list of Service Awards will be published in the News Section on the right.

The Six Permanent Objects of Kiwanis

Object 1: To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.
Object 2: To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
Object 3: To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business and professional standards.
Object 4: To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive and serviceable citizenship.
Object 5: To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service and to build better communities.
Object 6: To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and good will.
